Volunteer your time and supplies to help local families of older children with disabilities.

Looking for a way to help your community? Join us for a Spring Volunteer Program in the MakerSpace!

One of our community members, Ashley, is working with Iowa Family Leadership Training Institute, sponsored by the University of Iowa, to complete a project that helps fill a need in our community. She's hosting workshops in our MakerSpace where volunteers can assist with making re-usable cloth bibs for big kids (~ages 3-10 years) with special healthcare needs. 

No experience is needed to help - Ashley will guide you every step of the way! If you have a favorite sewing machine, fabric scissors, iron, etc., you're welcome to bring them! Donations of supplies, including fabric, can be directed to Ashley at 319-538-6668 or ashleydelayo@hotmail.com

*Please note - all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult while in the MakerSpace*
